Google will soon be introducing its new search results system known as caffeine which will change the way it indexes websites in its search engine. Will this affect your current search engine position?
The new changes will happen in the new year, but the good news is that most users will not notice any changes, so says Erick Schonfeld of TechCrunch.
However whilst the outward appearance and look of Google’s search engine will not change, Google will be showing results even faster and make its search offering more real-time, he said.

Will Caffeine Change Your Serps?
Citing a Summit Media study conducted earlier this year, Mr Schonfeld added that rankings are unlikely to be affected, although those sites that do slip down will be suffering from a lack of new content – potentially making a case for an SEO strategy that incorporates regular website updates, such as via news feeds.
“Keeping your site fresh to be crawled by Caffeine will be important,” he remarked.
This makes it even more important to keep your website updated with fresh, regular content as part of your seo campaign.
